Dedicated-server AppID 2278520 (the game is 1203620 - do not confuse them; anonymous download). enshrouded_server.json only appears after the first launch, so the flow is launch once, stop, edit, relaunch. Key fields: name / queryPort(15637) / slotCount (hard cap 16; larger values are silently truncated) / saveDirectory / userGroups (Admin/Friend/Guest each with their own password and permissions). The console printing Host_Online means it is truly ready. Client and server versions must match or connections are rejected - update the server in lockstep with client patches. RAM-hungry: roughly 5 GB base plus ~100 MB per player, so 16 GB+ for a full server. Voxel saves bloat over time, so automate backups. Windows only officially; Linux needs Wine/Proton (community Docker images exist).
