Server notes
First, the port wording follows the official FAQ verbatim: UDP 27015 is required, and TCP 27015 is needed only if you use rcon. RCON shares the game port (AMP sets AdminMethod to SourceRCON and AdminPortRef to ServerPort), so there is no separate admin port. Second, the 1.15 announcement (2026-09-01) says Steam Networking was added and port forwarding is no longer required, while the official forwarding requirement in the FAQ was written on 2012-08-31; both are official, both are dated and they point in opposite directions, so this site shows them side by side and picks neither, noting that the announcement wording belongs to a client update note and that dedicated-server inbound was not verified. Third, commands differ by role: the official FAQ states that a listen-server owner types mp_friendlyfire 0 in their own console, while a dedicated-server owner must first connect using rcon_password and then type rcon mp_friendlyfire 0. Fourth, there are two official ways to set a password (a line in server.cfg, or +sv_password on the srcds command line); generated output here only ever contains placeholders, and the password literal used as an example in the official FAQ is not copied. Fifth, the config file is nmrih/cfg/server.cfg (the directory agrees across all three sources while the file name differs: server.cfg in the official FAQ and the AMP command line, nmrihserver.cfg in LinuxGSM, and AMP_server.cfg as written by the AMP template download), and its last lines exec banned_ip.cfg and banned_user.cfg. Sixth, the GSLT parameter comes from LinuxGSM (+sv_setsteamaccount) and the 8-player cap agrees across two upstreams; neither is stated in an official document. Seventh, Metamod and SourceMod are managed by the AMP InstallMod switch (branch default 1.12, applied by writing or deleting nmrih/addons/metamod.vdf), and sm_-prefixed keys are SourceMod plugin commands rather than engine cvars. Eighth, AMP has two self-inconsistent defaults (tickrate 64 against sv_maxupdaterate 66, and nohltv disabling SourceTV while three tv_ parameters remain exposed); both are registered as published and are not silently harmonised. Ninth, the official Server Manual (Steam guide 334564718) timed out this round and the Valve developer wiki is behind a bot challenge, so this site does not claim to have read the complete setup flow or a complete command list, and registers only what has a citable source.
