Instant interactive calculations and recipe plannersFive branches: not listed, unjoinable, RCON failing, config ignored, plugins and scheduler not working
The developer publishes numbers: about 600 MB of disk, 1-2 GB RAM for small servers, 4-8 GB for more players, 64-bit only
Three numbering lines side by side (announcement 0.9.3, server software 0.6.7.2, the four AMP branch names) while appinfo publishes zero branches
The official 244 commands across 17 subsections, German and English descriptions side by side, admin commands flagged
Server admin and config generation (8)
Config files, startup scripts and command wizards for running a serverThe official RAM ranges plus the plugin JVM heap counted separately; the world data keeps growing; no per-player MB formula
Three ports across four readings; the group span is only 2 (so the step must be at least 3); the query port is TCP
4255 gets TCP and UDP while 4254 and 4253 get TCP only, because the official docs call the query port TCP
appid 339010 (AMP also passes UpdateSourceArgs=324080), branch selection and the example-config copy stage
Three forms side by side: the official docs and LinuxGSM both use no arguments (headless is built in) while AMP passes +Key=Value
132 key slots (131 server keys plus one AMP-internal parameter) across 7 sections, with 97 official comments
Line-by-line validation of scheduler.txt, nine event triggers, %serveroption.*% variables and the official restart sequence
176 permission keys across 10 categories, the group-name rules, the spg assignment command and both official directory spellings

Server notes
First, ports: 4255 is the game port and needs both TCP and UDP (official verbatim: Standardmäßig verwendet der Server Port 4255 TCP und UDP); 4254 is the query port, which the official page says is always serverport-1 and TCP, and it is a requirement for the server to appear in the list; 4253 is the RCON port, optional and off by default (RCON_Enabled=False). All four sources agree on the three ports - the official wiki, the server.properties copy LinuxGSM ships, AMP ports.json (which expresses the derivation with ChildPorts and Offset -1/-2) and node-gamedig. The only conflict is the protocol semantics: gamedig records protocol valve (UDP A2S) while the official page and AMP both say TCP (AMP verbatim: Port for http query traffic; the Server_WebserverEnabled comment reads Required for RCON and queries), so serverProtocol on this site changed from steam_a2s to http_api with the gamedig reading registered side by side. Second, official hosting documentation is reachable this round and is grade A: wiki.rising-world.net/Server (last edited 2024-11-01, oldid 2896, CC-BY-SA), but it is German only (/Server:EN, /Dedicated_Server and /English all 404), the MediaWiki api.php is not exposed (it returns a 404 HTML page) so wikitext comes from ?action=raw, and [[server.properties]] plus [[Area-Protection]] are red links - there is no official per-key documentation page, so all 97 key descriptions come from the comments inside the properties file the server itself generates. The docsUrl this site used to carry pointed at rising-world.fandom.com, which is unreachable (000), and has been replaced by the official wiki. Third, the official documentation contradicts itself: /Server says you must enable the Unity beta branch to download the new server, while /Unity-Version (edited 2026-09-01) says the Unity version was released on 2025-01-31, replaced the Java version and moved out of the beta branch into the main branch - both are grade A, so they are shown side by side (D1). The update list on /Unity-Version also stops at 0.8.1 (2025-01-31) while ISteamNews has 0.9, 0.9.1, 0.9.2 and 0.9.3 (2026-08-31), i.e. four versions behind (D2). Fourth, versioning: appinfo returns empty depots and zero branches for both 339010 (Rising World Dedicated Server, type Tool, oslist windows, linux) and 324080 (Rising World, developer JIW-Games, oslist windows, macos, linux), so no buildid exists; three numbering lines are shown side by side - the announcement line ending at 0.9.3 (2026-08-31, author red51, while the server appid has zero news items), the server-software line stamped 0.6.7.2 (9) in the header of the properties file LinuxGSM ships (0.6.7 in the official update list, 2023-06-30), and the AMP line of four ServerBranch names (public, unity_previous2 labelled Old 0.9, unity_previous labelled Old 0.8.5.2, unity_old labelled Old 0.7.5.2); confidence stays inferred. Fifth, config: the union is 131 server.properties keys (97 in the copy LinuxGSM ships, 100 percent of them carrying official comments, plus 34 further server keys and one AMP-internal parameter ServerBranch in the AMP panel) across 7 sections (SERVER 23, GENERAL 52, WORLD 4, DATABASE 4, RCON 8, PLUGIN 4, PERMISSION 2). A self-proving schema evolution: Settings_NpcSpawnrateEnemies exists only in the older copy while AMP has three keys instead (Bandits, SurfaceMonsters, UndergroundMonsters). Sixth, hardware (rare grade-A official numbers this round): about 600 MB of disk for the server itself with the world data counted separately and growing while running; 1-2 GB RAM recommended for a small server (the official page also suggests an additional swap file in that case) and 4-8 GB for more players; 64-bit Windows and Linux only; under Linux some dependencies required by Steam may need installing (no package names are published). The plugin JVM heap is a separate allocation: Plugins_Memory=1024 MB, and no JVM is created at all when Plugins_Enabled=False. No per-player memory formula is offered because the developer publishes ranges, not a linear rule. Seventh, the Java version conflicts: the official wiki template {{JDK Version}} expands to JDK 25 LTS (the text adds backwards compatibility to JDK 20 and newer) while the Install Notes on the LinuxGSM page read verbatim Java 8 Is required (D10). Eighth, RCON: an eight-key group with RCON_Enabled defaulting to False, a password comment reading Min 6 characters (!), RCON_APIOnly=True disabling the built-in RCON tool, RCON_WhitelistIP restricting sources and RCON_Certificate bringing TLS into play; AMP itself uses AdminMethod=STDIO with AdminPortRef=0 and never speaks RCON (D6). All three upstream artifacts carry weak default credentials (the shipped properties file has a seven-digit numeric RCON password, the AMP panel defaults to a six-random-digits template, and App.RemoteAdminPassword is a weak literal with UseRandomAdminPassword=False), so this site emits placeholders only, stores no original value and reports pasted secrets by length. Ninth, launch: the official page says verbatim that the server already runs headless so no extra arguments are needed, and LinuxGSM sets startparameters to an empty string, while AMP passes +Server_Port=, +RCON_Port= and +Server_IP= in the +{0}={1} format - which of the command line and the properties file wins cannot be verified (D5). The readiness signature AMP registers verbatim is Dedicated server is ready! (N.N s), and shutdown is ExitString=stop with ExitMethod=OS_CLOSE and a 30 second timeout. Tenth, three built-in systems each have an official page: the Task-Scheduler (rename scheduler.example.txt to scheduler.txt to activate it, one entry per line starting with @, six time forms, nine event triggers, %playercount% and %serveroption.*% variables; that page was last edited 2022-02-11 while the newer command page lists a reloadscheduler it never mentions, D8); Permissions (JSON group files, 10 categories and 176 permission keys, the file name is the group name and is case sensitive with no spaces, assignment through spg / setplayergroup, plus Permissions_DefaultNewPlayerPermissionGroup and Permissions_AdminsFullPermissions; the official page itself writes the directory as permissions/groubs three times and permissions/groups once, gives two area paths and contains a permissions/dafault.json misspelling, D9); and the Konsole command reference (119939 bytes, edited 2026-09-17, 17 command subsections, 244 unique commands, four columns including a German description and the original English one, 23 multiplayer commands including ban, offlineban, kick, deleteplayer, makeadmin, spg, saveall, restart, shutdown and reloadscheduler). Eleventh, several easy traps: with Server_ConfigNoComments=True the server rewrites the config without keeping comments; World_Seed and World_GameMode only apply when a new world is created; with Server_RestartEnabled=False the restart command only shuts the server down; Server_EnablePortCheck=True makes the server check its own ports; Server_DeleteOldLogsDays=7 prunes old logs; Database_JournalMode=5 is WAL, which the official comment recommends. Twelfth, the port group span for multiple instances is only 2 (4255 minus 4253), so the step must be at least 3, and no upstream source publishes an official step. Thirteenth, other upstream facts: AMP updates.json uses appid 339010 with UpdateSourceArgs=324080 and has a CopyFilePath stage copying server.example.properties to server.properties (whether it overwrites an existing file is not stated); the executables are RisingWorldServer.exe and RisingWorldServer.x64; the server root directory name comes from the official wiki path templates and is RisingWorldDedicatedServer; the developer GitHub organisations JIW-Games, jiwgames and red51 are all Not Found, i.e. zero public repositories; the official forum tutorials board index is readable (136120 bytes, including How To install plugins on your server) but the forum search endpoint returned nothing usable this round so no thread body was read; and the search tool failed again (seventh consecutive round), so no claim is made about having screened community self-media.
