Compare all seven flag sizes (80×80 → 272×272) and work out which tier your layout needs
Population-driven rating (Tiny 0+ / Small 6+ / Average 12+ / Large 18+ / Huge 24+) and how many settlers you still need
All 18 roles with unlock conditions and which work zone each can run (Guard: 825 HP / speed 35)
Only three work zones exist (Forestry / Husbandry / Fertilize); the latter two are role-locked. Mining, hunting and fishing are innate jobs, not zones
Weighted happiness score from room size, furniture, food and personality — with strike-risk verdict and the cheapest improvement
Correct male-to-female ratio, daily feed cost and yield — flags surplus males that should be culled
Reclaim cost (5 logs per plot), 40% fertilizer speedup and crop cycles → 30-day output and farmer headcount
Estimate shared-chest coverage against flag area to spot under- or over-provisioning before hauling eats your throughput
16 recruitable NPCs plus 4 non-recruitable visitors; your house count is the hard recruitment cap and over-recruiting causes strikes
NPCs double hunger drain and add +20% boss HP each (counted up to 10) — and NPCs never respawn once dead
Generate cfg/server.cfg — NOT JSON, but the custom SERVER = { key = value } format
Generate world rules — syntax is key: value (colon), completely different from server.cfg; a mistake means the world fails to load
The full nine steps to change world settings, with a folder/zip name consistency check and a hard stop-the-server warning
Necesse uses only UDP 14159. Check OS firewall, cloud security group and router forwarding layer by layer, with ufw / iptables / firewalld commands
Pull the dedicated server via SteamCMD appid 1169370 and generate a systemd unit plus daily ops commands
Commands grouped by server / player / chat, one click to copy
Generate a backup script and crontab entry from your interval and retention, estimate disk usage, and warn to stop the server first
Quantify the trade-offs of pauseWhenEmpty (CPU saved vs settlements halted), slots, maxClientLatencySeconds and giveClientsPower

cfg/server.cfgsaves/worlds/<存档>.zip 内 worldSettings.cfgTWO CONFIGS, TWO SYNTAXES. server.cfg sits in cfg/ and uses key = value. worldSettings.cfg is NOT in cfg/ — it is zipped inside saves/worlds/<world>.zip and uses key: value (colon). To change world rules you must: stop the server, download the zip, extract, edit, rename the folder, re-zip (zip name must match the folder name), upload, set "Load World" to the new name (no .zip suffix), then restart. Editing saves while the server runs can permanently corrupt the world. Also: pauseWhenEmpty=false is required for settlements to run 24/7, but the server then simulates continuously and that is the main source of lag complaints; giveClientsPower=false is stricter and works as basic anti-cheat, but feels less responsive.
